Refunds, cancellations & withdrawal

Different things you can pay for on PadelSmash follow different rules. This page explains each one, and preserves the mandatory rights EU consumers have under distance-selling law.

Last updated: 14 August 2026 · Document version v1.0 (2026-08-14)

1.Your EU right of withdrawal

As a consumer buying at distance you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase without giving a reason. Tell us within 14 days through the contact page, using any clear statement. We refund using the same payment method within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal (for goods, from when we receive the item back or you prove you sent it).

Two lawful exceptions matter here: digital content or services you asked us to start immediately and expressly agreed to lose the withdrawal right for, and goods that were sealed for hygiene reasons and unsealed after delivery.

2.SmashToken purchases (digital app credit)

  • SmashTokens are delivered to your wallet immediately. At checkout you are asked to agree that delivery begins at once and that the withdrawal right is lost once the credit is delivered.
  • If you have not spent any of the purchased tokens, we will still refund an unspent purchased balance within 14 days of purchase as a goodwill practice, minus any bonus tokens granted with that pack.
  • Once purchased tokens have been spent on an order, an entry or a reward, that part is no longer refundable in cash.
  • Promotional and earned tokens were never paid for, so they carry no cash value and are never refunded in money.
  • A duplicate or failed charge is always refunded in full — contact us with the payment reference.

3.Store goods (physical products)

  • 14-day withdrawal applies from the day you receive the goods. Return them in resaleable condition; you pay the return shipping unless the item was faulty or wrong.
  • Sealed hygiene items such as grips or apparel unsealed after delivery are excluded from withdrawal.
  • Faulty or misdescribed goods: you have the statutory 2-year conformity remedy under EU consumer law — repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
  • If we cancel an order because stock ran out, we restore any tokens spent and refund any money paid, in full.
  • Refunds go back to the original method: money to the card, tokens to the wallet bucket they came from.

4.Court costs and third-party bookings

  • Court time booked with a club or through a booking service such as Playtomic is a contract with that provider, under their cancellation rules. PadelSmash cannot refund what it did not charge you.
  • Where PadelSmash itself sells court time, the game screen states the cancellation window before you pay.
  • Court-cost splits recorded between players inside a game are a convenience record. If a game is cancelled before it is played, any court-cost holds we placed are released back to the wallet buckets they came from.

5.Competition entries and Game Buy-Ins

  • An entry is refundable in full while the game or tournament has not started and you withdraw before the stated entry deadline; the amount returns to the balance it came from.
  • If the organiser cancels, or the game does not reach the required number of players, every entry is released in full and no service fee is charged.
  • Once a game or tournament has started, an entry is not refundable, because it is already part of the prize pool other participants are competing for. This is an outcome-based contest, not a purchase of goods.
  • If a result is disputed, settlement is paused until the dispute is resolved; nothing is paid out or reversed in the meantime.
  • Where competition mechanics run on promotional or test tokens, no money changed hands and there is nothing to refund in cash.
  • If we cancel a competition for a compliance, provider or country-eligibility reason, all entries are released in full.

6.Memberships and subscriptions

If a recurring plan is offered, you can cancel it at any time from your account; it then runs until the end of the paid period and does not renew. Your 14-day withdrawal right applies to the first period unless you asked for immediate access and waived it, in which case we refund the unused proportion.

7.How to request a refund

  • Use the contact page and include your account email, the date, the amount and the order or game reference.
  • We confirm receipt and normally respond within 5 working days.
  • If we reject a request we explain why, and you keep every mandatory statutory right, including the option to escalate to the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee or the EU online dispute resolution platform.
