Prize, rewards & SmashToken rules

PadelSmash is a competitive sports platform. These rules explain how entries, prize pools, rewards and app credit work — and why some of it is only visible in some countries.

1.The four game modes

  • Friendly — players simply split the court cost. No entry fee and no prize pool.
  • Winner Plays Free — all four players contribute to the court cost, and after a confirmed result the winning pair's share is covered from the game settlement. This is cost sharing, not a prize.
  • Smash Challenge — an optional Game Buy-In per player forms a prize pool, from which a service fee is deducted and the remainder is paid to the winning pair as a Reward.
  • Product Challenge — the reward is a physical product or voucher funded by PadelSmash or a sponsor, not by the participants.

2.How the economics are shown

Court cost is always modelled separately from competition economics. Before you commit, the game screen shows court cost total and per player, entry fee per player, gross entry pool, the service fee percentage and amount, the net prize pool and the projected payout per winning player.

The prize amount does not have to equal the sum of all entries. A creator or sponsor can top up a pool, or offer a product reward, provided the funding rule for that structure is satisfied before the game locks.

3.SmashTokens: purchased, promotional and earned

  • SmashTokens are closed-loop app credit issued by PadelSmash. They are not money, not e-money and not transferable between players.
  • Purchased tokens are bought with a card payment and can be used for PadelSmash purchases such as the store.
  • Promotional and earned tokens are granted by us for referrals, promotions, rewards or testing, are clearly labelled, and may carry expiry or usage conditions.
  • The ledger tracks purchased, promotional, earned, reserved, spent and pending-reward balances separately, with an immutable entry for every movement.
  • There is no cash-out. A payout feature only exists where a lawful, provider-approved payout is explicitly enabled for a country, and it is off by default.

4.Country and provider gating

Participant-funded prize play is only offered where two independent server-side flags are set for your country: a payment-provider approval flag and a legal-review flag. Both are off by default.

  • Where the flags are not set, challenge mechanics run on promotional or test tokens only, with no cash or material prize payout, so you can still use the full match and tournament experience.
  • Ordinary commerce — store purchases, memberships and non-prize court payments — is routed to a separate commerce provider and is never mixed with competition flows.
  • The mode that applies to you is decided server-side from your account country, not by anything set in the browser.
  • Availability of a feature is not legal advice and does not mean participation is lawful for you personally. You remain responsible for your own compliance, and you must be 18+ for any fee-based competitive feature.

PadelSmash is not a licensed gambling operator and does not present skill-based padel competition as gambling. Nothing here states that cash-prize play is lawful everywhere.

5.Settlement and payout

  • Entries are held (reserved) when you join, not spent, so a cancelled game releases them untouched.
  • Settlement runs only after both pairs confirm the result, or after we resolve a dispute.
  • The service fee is deducted from the gross entry pool; the net prize pool is credited to the winning pair in the balance type the entries were taken from.
  • Product rewards are fulfilled as a store order, with delivery details collected after the win is confirmed.
  • If a game is voided, every hold is released and no fee is charged.

6.Tournaments

Tournament entries follow the same rules, with the structure published on the tournament page before registration: format, entry requirement, prize or reward split by position, registration limit and eligibility. The same gating, settlement and dispute process applies.

7.Referrals and promotions

  • Referral rewards are promotional SmashTokens, granted after the invited player completes the qualifying action published at the time.
  • Promotions can be changed or ended for the future; rewards already granted are not clawed back unless they were obtained by abuse.
  • Self-referral, duplicate accounts and automated sign-ups void the reward.

8.Integrity

Match fixing, collusion, deliberate rating manipulation and attempts to bypass gating are treated as serious breaches under the Community & Fair Play rules. We may withhold a settlement, reverse a reward, restrict features or terminate an account, and we log every such action for audit.
